After much debate and convinced myself to give book two a chance because book one was the authors debut novel. Sadly I am out $5 that I can't get back.

There was no development in the author's writing ability or the flaws in the characters or story. Is was even more of a disappointment than book one. the edits and structure were actually more choppy and unprofessional in this one.

And someone please tell me why did we need a 40 page recap of book one? I literally skipped the first 40 pages by skimming through them because i reiterated everything that happened in book one from beginning to end. it was like a never ending previously in Guardians. I actually said finally when I found where it ended so that i could move on with the story and not still be stuck rereading book one.

I will not be paying for the rest of the series to continue with it. Maybe if the books were cheaper I'd consider it only because the concept of the plot and the creativity is captivating but the quality of the product is not worth $6 for an ebook!

Guardians The Fallout The Guardians Series Book 2 eBook Lola StVil Reviews

I feel like if I'm paying you money you should at least try to get through one page without a grammatical error. I mean come on not a single page without a mess up, it was the same with book one but it was free. I will not buy anymore of these books unless the price decreases dramatically. Thanks for putting out such shoddy work Lola, maybe take an English class at your local community college, or elementary school.
Eh. While I liked the overall concept, I'm not overly thrilled with the execution of the story. While there is overall promise in the story line, I did not see the characters develop as much as they should in book one. I purchased book two, hoping for more character development; there was some, but still the characters are coming off a bit flat. I also keep finding spelling errors and word choice errors, both in book one and book two - enough that it has become a serious distraction for me. When there are enough errors in a book that the reading experience is diminished, it's time for me to quit reading that author's work. As I said, I ended up purchasing book one and book two, but I won't continue with this series. This would probably be more appropriate reading for young teenagers
The story is really interesting but the grammar and spelling mistakes(in every single chapter) are really frustrating. The first book in this series also had some but this book has a lot more. Sometimes it feels like you're reading a rough draft. There are several places where excepting is written when it should be accepting or expecting and jester where it should say gesture. Nobody's perfect of course but there has got to be a way to do a better job at proofreading!
I'm enchanted with the concept of this series. It's not the sort of book I normally would read but it's captivating enough to keep me interested AND buying the next installment. My biggest complaint is the lack of editing. There are typos all through this book and at times they are irritating. I find a lot of independently written and published books share this flaw...the author uses a spell checker or perhaps a grammar checker to edit their work rather than a live editor who can check for mistyped words and continuity. This book, indeed most of the series that I've read so far, suffers from this. The target audience, I believe, is teenage readers. Chances are, they wouldn't even notice these flaws.
The typos and errors in EVERY SINGLE BOOK are absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. When I BUY a book with my own money, I expect professionalism. The author sucks. Of course I had to buy the next book and the next book because I had to know what was going to happen in the story, but looking back, it was a complete waste of money. This author WILL NOT be getting any more of my business and money, and I hope other people will read this and not give her their money for such low-quality, unprofessional writing.
This book was disappointing I struggled to finish reading it.There were multiple errors in word usage that were very distracting for me and could have been easily fixed. That small thing aside the characters flaws are too deep. For angelic beings they are selfish even for teens. Your books hero cannot put their own love life in front of the fate of the entire world. It makes them seem small and pathetic. The overall plot of the world saving the bridge etc are good settings and so on but the journey through them is and through the eyes of the characters is a sad just because they are so self centered. Moments of this can add to a characters depth but making the whole character that self interested and willing to throw away the lives of the entire world for their own happiness.. just ruined it all for me. I want to know the end of the story but I can't get through their whining and bitching enough to read the rest.
The spelling errors are so distracting! That's my only issue with this series. It's almost like your transcriber is foreign going by the specific words that are consistently misspelled. If you need a better transcriber, feel free to contact me and hope I have time. ;)
Otherwise, this is a really great storyline. Interesting, keeps the reader hooked and wanting more and it delivers that "more" right away. A very satisfying plot.
